“Terrorist Attacks can shake the foundations of our biggest buildings, but they cannot touch the foundation of America. These acts shatter steel, but they cannot dent the steel of American resolve. America was targeted for attack because we

are the brightest beacon for Freedom and Opportunity in the world. And NO ONE will keep that light from shining.” – President George W. Bush (9/11/2001)

I am a former biologist and I worked in the medical field up until I had my first daughter.  Born out of the love for all things girly girl, I started handcrafting headbands after my second little girl was born. I LOVE what I do and I love anything modern with a vintage twist.   By using designer cotton fabrics, luxurious dupioni silks and satins, and beautiful embellishments, I strive to deliver items that are crafted superior to the mass-produced items in the market.  Not only is it important for me to provide exceptional craftsmanship but it’s also important that my clients have a unique and beautiful accessory that they will treasure throughout their childhood.
In addition to being used in photo shoots, my items have been used by brides, flower girls, and babies during weddings, Baptisms, and Christenings.  I can accommodate custom orders unique to every client’s special occasions.  I love what I do and I would be more then happy to lend a creative hand to your special occasion.

Fstop Frenzy – Challenge: Week 5

Theme: Self portrait incorporating “BAD SASS”
bsdwm_0

When I saw the Fstop Frenzy post for a self portrait incorporating “bad sass” I just had the cray though as too a really cool image. I wanted to do something that would be a little off the wall but still keep it classy. While brain storming the perfect way to create what was in my head, my daughter was flipping through one of my parenting magazine and a light bulb went off… Why not cut out “bad sass” from magazine letters or even better create a saying and incorporate “bad sass”? BINGO! I wanted to create a classic image of what I thought was “bad sass but I’m still not comfortable showing my upper body after having my kids. So what’s a better bad sass image then a women’s bare naked legs with heals (first thing my hubby said was “that is not only sexy but SOOO bad ass”. I had everything set to do this outside against a beautiful stone wall, but got rained out. That left me only with my studio and I honestly think that it turned out better then I got have expected. It also means so much more because my kids helped me cut out the letters and glue them on the brick. I hope that everyone enjoys it and Thank you to Bad Sass & Fstop Frenzy for this awesome challenge!
